Phyllis Moses

Having spent 21 years in Hawai’i immersed in yoga therapy, Tibetan Buddhism, and indigenous wisdom, and with more than 30 years of experience as a yoga therapist and hypnotherapist, Phyllis integrates neuroscience, somatics, and expanded states of consciousness to guide transformative healing journeys. Phyllis brings compassionate presence, deep listening, and a spirit of joy and playfulness to her work.

Phyllis Moses

Phyllis Moses' journey into plant medicine began in her teenage years, and over a decade of exploring psychedelics eventually led her to Hawai'i, where she began cultivating mushrooms and met her Tibetan Buddhist teachers, deepening her connection to sacred plant medicine and indigenous wisdom.

Works best with

Spiritual Exploration
People who want to use non-ordinary states of consciousness to grow, deepen, and explore a richer sense of spiritual connection.
Personal Growth
Individuals drawn to expanding their inner world and open to what the experience may reveal.

How Phyllis works

  • Mindfulness and meditation

Attention trained before the journey, so the session has something steady to return to when it intensifies.

  • Somatic and body-led

The body read as closely as the conversation: what someone is carrying is often physical before it has words.

  • Nature-based practice

The outdoors used deliberately: walking, sitting and integrating in the landscape rather than only indoors.

  • Spiritual growth

The meaning-making side of a journey, held without a prescribed framework for it.

[My session] was among the most meaningful experiences of my life. I experienced the ego dissolution and connection that people often describe from a heroic dose of mushrooms. I am immensely grateful to Phyllis for her insight and compassion throughout my prep, journey, and integration. Until now, I continue to feel joyful and open with very little self-reference or concern. I was impressed by Phyllis when we first talked, and I continued to be amazed by her knowledge of psychedelics and the nuances of how people respond to mushrooms. I felt I was in good hands, which allowed me to relax and open up for the journey. Looking back, I appreciate her direction and support even more. I loved that I was matched with Phyllis Moses because I cannot imagine a better facilitator for a virgin mushrooms experience.

Phyllis became a friend, knew my pain, knew my intentions. Phyllis and Odyssey supported me through a journey that I needed in order to live a new life.

C.J.Private session · April 2026

Phyllis was very patient and compassionate. I was having a tough time with fear before the journey started and she patiently sat with me and did not carry any expectations for how the rest of the day would go. She made herself available several hours after I left the facility when I was struggling to believe anything happening around me was happening in the physical world.

Dear Phyllis, Thank you for your walking beside me in this journey. Even when we met with some resistance, I felt your care, and intention. I’m grateful for the understanding we reached and the respect we share as fellow travelers.

J.Z.Private session · September 2025

Phyllis was exactly what I needed for my journey. She was there for me when I was scared to take the medicine and she also chose the perfect strain for me. She listened to me in our sessions leading up to the journey and chose Golden Teacher. It was perfect! Phyllis was wonderful throughout my journey too. She hugged me when I needed it, held my hand, and emotionally there for me too.

A.K.Private session · August 2024

Compassionate and professional, Phyllis was my personal sherpa, (a Himalayan term for a mountain guide that climbs beside a member, and helps with the trek) guiding me without leading. I can't imagine better support on my journey of exploration. I definitely felt a positive difference even though I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I finally decided to explain to people that "I no longer feel like I was being chased by a tiger.

Many thanks for facilitating my journey. I’m much more in the present and the anger I carried for decades is gone. I love the experience you have to know what I needed to prepare me for, during and after my journey. One of the best things for me was you echoed what all the mental health therapists have told me over the last 30 years, and I could visualize your words of wisdom. So grateful the universe matched us up! Thank you + Big Hugs!!

T.G.Private session · November 2023

I can't thank you enough for your incredible caring and kindness - I don't think I've felt that someone has held space for me in that way for ages! It is not an exaggeration to share it felt life changing. Thank you for being an incredible guide. I feel so much a sense of renewed hope. With much gratitude, hope and love 🙏🏼

Anon.Private session · October 2023

My life was transformed. That day last July shifted something foundational—not just in me, but in my relationship with my wife. After 34 years of marriage, the past twelve months have been the most openhearted, joy-filled, and deeply connected of our lives. We are, quite literally, not the same couple we were before. It's as if a new dimension opened up between us—one filled with wonder, tenderness, and delight. While I continue to make meaning of the experience in my own way, I recognize that such moments rarely unfold without care and intention. You were the one who held the space in which this threshold could be crossed. For that, I thank you—deeply. It was not a moment of learning, but of remembering. And that remembering continues still.
