Amanda Gerace

Amanda is a mother, death/grief doula, nature-lover, dreamer, massage therapist and experienced licensed facilitator. She draws from over 21 years of experience in the healing arts to support transformative mushrooms journeys.

Amanda Gerace

Amanda Gerace began her career as a massage therapist in 2003 and became a certified end of life doula in 2020, holding a deep reverence for the ways in which grief and death shape, teach, and connect us to the cycles of life.

Works best with

Grief and Pregnancy Loss
Bereaved parents, those navigating pregnancy loss, and individuals carrying deep grief who are ready to find a path through.
End of Life
Those approaching the end of life or supporting someone who is, seeking peace, presence, and meaning.
Reclaiming Joy and Purpose
Clients wanting to reconnect with themselves, their creativity, spirituality, or sense of purpose after a period of disconnection.

How Amanda works

  • Somatic and body-led

The body read as closely as the conversation: what someone is carrying is often physical before it has words.

  • Nature-based practice

The outdoors used deliberately: walking, sitting and integrating in the landscape rather than only indoors.

  • Depression

Depression, including the treatment-resistant kind that has not moved with medication alone.

  • Grief and loss

Bereavement and prolonged grief, including losses that were never fully mourned.

Amanda is an angel! Sensitive, empathetic, helpful, and supportive in every way. I loved our Zoom meetings. I loved feeling comfortable with her and knowing everything would be taken care of. She's an excellent facilitator.

E.H.Private session · April 2026

Amanda brings a perspective to grief that was very helpful to me. She trusted her process and helped me understand why I should go with it. I did, and I am better for it. She is a pro! She was the highlight of my experience and was there for me every step of the way.

D.M.Private session · February 2026

Amanda spent a significant amount of time explaining the process to me and answering a plethora of questions I had. She ensured that I was comfortable and allowed me to make the most of this experience. I would encourage anyone who is considering this therapy to reach out to Odyssey immediately. It was an incredible journey, and I felt cared for the entire time.

K.P.Private session · February 2026

Amanda was perfect for me. She is calm, so kind, and always willing to answer any questions. Somehow, she always knew what to say or do to relieve my fears. All of my experience was helpful. The pre-sessions were instrumental in making me feel comfortable and I really enjoyed getting to know Amanda and feeling comfortable with her. My mushrooms day was just extraordinary. So hard to describe in words. It was so much more than I ever dreamed it could be. Amanda was there with me every step of the way when I needed her. I felt cared for and empowered. I saw a level of consciousness that I did not know existed and it was beyond beautiful. This experience has given me a hope and a peace that I did not have before.

C.B.Private session · December 2025

I always felt comfortable sharing the things that I needed to discuss to prepare for my journey as Amanda listens well without judgement and without trying to redirect what I am saying. She was an extraordinarily grounding presence during my journey and has been very helpful as I work on integration. I feel like I have a better understanding of myself and like this has given me an opportunity to approach my life with new clarity and self acceptance. Amanda was a ray of sunshine and deeply empathetic of my trauma. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

A.H.Private session · July 2025

K.B.Private session · October 2024

Amanda has been extraordinary. What she brings to the experience is incredible and she went above and beyond to provide a safe and heartfelt experience.

S.Private session · September 2024

Amanda is so kind, understanding, patient, and supportive. She brought a beautiful bouquet of dahlias- my daughter’s favorite. The foot massage was a perfect way to relax and prepare for the mushroom journey to begin. I couldn’t imagine a better person to sit with. Then she was so kind to help me as the mushrooms wore off— prepare for the evening. She kindly dropped me off where I was staying and made sure I got to the room safely. She went above and beyond.
