Alex is a licensed facilitator, intuitive counselor, and domestic violence and sexual assault prevention advocate in Ashland, Oregon. Shaped by nearly a decade in various mental health and human service agencies, her approach to facilitation is trauma-informed, person-centered, and highly attuned.

Attention trained before the journey, so the session has something steady to return to when it intensifies.
The body read as closely as the conversation: what someone is carrying is often physical before it has words.
Chronic anxiety and the anticipatory fear that tends to arrive with the journey itself.
Depression, including the treatment-resistant kind that has not moved with medication alone.

Alex is truly gifted as a facilitator, and I feel blessed that she happened to be mine for this deeply meaningful experience. Alex made me feel emotionally safe going into an experience I had a lot of fear around. Throughout the session and during the integration sessions that followed, Alex was deeply intuitive and empathetic in all of her interactions with me. I felt very seen and heard by her.
Solid, dedicated, capable, hard-working, empathetic, and genuine, Alex is a gifted leader.
Odyssey provided the necessary support and safety that made me feel very comfortable with the entire process.
I can't say enough good about Alex. I had a good feeling about working with her from the first zoom meeting I had with her. She felt authentic, intelligent, clear, and heartfelt in her dedication to her work to assist people in making these potentially transformational journeys. She spent a significant amount of time meeting with me to answer questions, etc., but I never sensed any pressure from her to do anything except what was best for me. Her instincts and suggestions about dates for the journey (not rushing a decision) and about dosing (often less is more) felt well-considered (wise) to me, and led to a very good journey experience. Her facilitation prior to the journey, during the journey and afterwards, was excellent. Her communications felt clear and very supportive. Her support and input during the journeys (and choice of music) was a key part of the learning and discovery that happened for me in the journey and led to what has felt like a very profound and potentially transformative experience. I really feel like I couldn't have found a better facilitator.
Alex held space in a way that I was comfortable enough to let go through really difficult challenges while feeling safe. I just knew I was in good hands.
Working with Alex has been a deeply transformative experience. Her calm, grounded presence created a safe, nurturing space for my mushrooms journey and integration.
Alex explained the whole experience in advance, so I knew what to expect. She was very kind and loving during parts of the experience that were emotional for me.
I loved working with Alex. Every time we talked I felt more comfortable going through with the process. She somehow perfectly combines methods of evidence based talk therapy with simple loving curiosity to my journey. I kept finding parallels in her observations with that of my LPC. Every conversation both affirmed and challenged me.
I greatly appreciated Alex's kindness and gentleness. She had incredible insights into the human condition that were extremely inspirational and helpful. She honored my traditions in a way that felt genuine and heartfelt.
Wow, the facilitators were incredible. They were so open, kind, caring, supportive, empathetic, nurturing - the list could go on. What a special team of women. They always were always attentive, gentle, and understanding to every participant's need. They all gave from their unique strengths and perspectives to make the journey and integration work so profound and meaningful. I LOVED the integration day and all of the different integration exercises we did. Hearing from all the participants about their journeys and getting to do the integration work with all the facilitators was one of the most beautiful and profound days of my life. It filled my soul. The connectedness and community felt on that day is a memory I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
I recently attended a mushroom retreat organized by the team of dedicated professionals at Odyssey, and I can confidently say it was a life-changing experience. From the moment I contacted them, I was met with warmth and compassion, which set a conforming tone for the entire retreat. The facilitators are not only knowledgeable about the therapeutic aspects of mushrooms, but they are also deeply committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of each retreat participant. Throughout the journey, I felt supported and guided, allowing me to explore my inner self in a way I had never experienced before. The integration sessions were particularly valuable, helping me to process my insights and apply them to my everyday life. I cannot recommend Odyssey highly enough for anyone seeking a transformative experience with mushrooms in a safe and nurturing environment. If you're considering a mushroom retreat, this is the place to go.
The facilitators were incredibly gifted and caring. I can’t imagine anyone better. They were supportive and listened, offered reassurance and guidance. They made the weekend a beautiful experience. I loved the retreat house because the view was extremely special and gorgeous. I loved the journey space and the playlist that was shared, I listen to it often. I loved the integration circles and the people I met. There was a nice amount of relaxation and down time. Absolutely worth every penny spent.
It’s like a decade of emotional catharsis compressed into five hours. The task before me, and anyone who embarks on an experience like this, is understanding how to make meaning of that catharsis and integrating it into your life in a real and honest way.
Alex was incredible. She prepared the room with such care and meaning. I always felt safe and she was there for all my needs. I felt supported and cared for. Her facilitation is the reason why I was able to go deep into it and learn.
From the first time I met Alex at our initial "zoom" meeting I felt an intuitive connection to her. At our sessions Alex created a space especially for me, not just the room we were in which was warm and womb-like but the atmosphere-a cocoon of loving presence. She is extremely intuitive and aware. I felt completely safe and cared for. I felt I could do or be whatever I needed to do in that space with her and she would hold no judgement. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
Alex Kenyon, my guide, was amazing. She’s so very kind, knowledgeable, and just the perfect person to guide one through a journey like this. I was so comfortable with her and am very thankful that I had her with me. I think she made my journey even more special because I really trusted her and when I needed a little direction she gave me the perfect advice and guidance. She never inserted herself but instead just allowed me to go. I loved how she was there the entire time but never 'got in the way'. She’s perfect for this job.
She is so clearly meant to be a guide and lead others to healing. It comes through in all she does throughout the journey. She has made a positive impact on my life through my journey with mushrooms and beyond. I have new perspective and new energy and it's just the beginning.
My experience with Alex was wonderful. I came to her dealing with some anxiety and PTSD. It was effecting my work and life in general. My hope was to get some relief and the results have been better than expected. It is still a work in progress as I'm learning to respond differently to life, but the "reset" has allowed me to have a broader view and perspective in processing information. This experience has changed my viewpoint significantly for the better. Alex played a significant roll. She was the calm that I needed. I would highly recommend Alex.
